POSITION PROFILE:

Safran DSI is seeking a Sales Representative who will be responsible for supporting the Telemetry Division.  This position will support multiple Sales and Business Development activities to include, but not limited to, managing opportunities in CRM, quoting and customer communications support for the team, ensuring daily, weekly and monthly interactions with the sales team, the customer, and the Norcross, GA facility.  In this role, the incumbent is required to frequently engage with customers, and act as the primary contact and coordination hub for a growing sales team.

 

Success in this position requires strong communication and administrative skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively track quotes, customer interactions, team activities, and communications. Strong interpersonal and customer engagement skills, along with an assertive and proactive communication approach, are essential.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage opportunities and follow ups all Telemetry Opportunities in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Develop and send quotes based on RFQs
  • Follow up with Customers post sale and quarterly
  • Qualify and quantify leads
  • Assume responsibility for driving 30+ outbound calls/3hr+ Talk Time per day, as well as managing opportunities and emails with the goal of selling to new prospects and/or upgrading existing customers' products and services
  • Build and develop a pipeline of customers based on past orders and track sales data and timing for new orders
  • Ensure that current policies on pricing, discounts and products are fully complied with in quotations, including Non-Standard process, GSA Contract requirements, etc.
  • Provide customer interaction updates to the Sales Team
  • Assist in the creation of Technical/Pricing Proposals for large system requirements
  • Coordinate with Services and Field Engineering for onsite activities or customer needs
  • Act as the transition POC to Project Managers for projects from initial sales, purchase order receipt to baseline of the project
  • Assist Contracts Director with aspects of the orders as needed
  • Create/maintain monthly reports & metrics
  • Provide and support weekly and monthly reports and briefs to Senior Leadership
  • Comply with Safran DSI policies, procedures, and security requirements
  • Additional duties as assigned by the sales management team.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a customer-facing role, with proven sales skills to build on
  • US Protected Individual status required

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Familiarity with working in an ITAR environment
  • Knowledge of governmental contracts and terms; ability to track requirements on orders and comply with FARS and DFARS
  • Self-motivated with high level attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to excel in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • Motivated to exceed goals and develop professional skills and abilities
  • Open to receiving feedback and applying and integrating feedback to improve results
