POSITION PROFILE:

The Vice President of BD & Sales is responsible for the acquisition and retention of U.S. based customers for the sale of the products and services by DSI Space Solutions Business Unit, originating from DSI and its Safran Affiliates at large.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Develop and implement strategic Business Development & sales plan to achieve company goals and objectives

·       Build & keep updated the Order Intake / Sales forecast

·       Lead and manage the BD & Sales team providing guidance, support, and coaching

·       Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders

·       Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth

·       Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management

·       Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts with overall business strategies

·       Collaborate with the Engineering Solutions leadership to make sure Safran DSI product engineering development roadmap is aligned with market demands

·       Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in sales and marketing strategies

·       Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·       Lead and mentor the business development & sales team, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous learning and professional growth

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

·       10-15 years of experience in sales and business development roles with 5-7 years of experience in a senior leadership or management position

·       Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

·       Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and leading high-performing teams.

·       Extensive knowledge of the industry and market trends.

·       Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Proven track record in developing successful sales strategies to achieve objectives

·       Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

·       Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals

·       Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools

·       Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance

·       Requires U.S. Citizenship

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

·       Experience working in both traditional Aerospace and “New Space” companies

·       Active DOD Secret Security Clearance

·       Well established contacts at all levels in the target accounts base

·       Experience working in an ITAR environment

·       Conversational French

 

TRAVEL: More than 50% - Travel between Safran facilities in the United States and travel overseas is required.

 

SALARY RANGE: $240,000-$260,000 annual salary, plus participation in management performance bonus plan.
