POSITION PROFILE:

At Safran DSI, our Internship Program immerses students in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment that balances real-world engineering challenges with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our interns gain practical experience, build meaningful industry connections, and contribute directly to mission-driven projects.

 

Interns at DSI Space Solutions work alongside engineers and technical teams to solve complex aerospace problems, gaining valuable experience that supports both their career development and our business success. You’ll bring fresh perspectives that help us innovate while preparing for potential future full-time opportunities with Safran DSI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Contribute to the design, integration, and testing of satellite communications hardware and software.

·       Support development of ground station systems, radio communications payloads, and space optics.

·       Assist in projects related to propulsion systems, SDA, and SRT technologies.

·       Conduct hands-on experiments, analyze test results, and draw conclusions from collected data.

·       Learn and apply proper lab equipment usage, test methodologies, and safety practices.

·       Collaborate with team members to guide your summer experience toward areas of specific interest while contributing to mission deliverables.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

·       Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·       Excellent organization, presentation, and team collaboration abilities.

·       Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.

·       Demonstrated leadership qualities with a collaborative mindset.

·       U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required for all roles.

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

·       Experience working in an ITAR-regulated environment.

·       Exposure to satellite communications, RF systems, or aerospace systems engineering

 

 

Salary Range: $17-$22 per hour
