POSITION PROFILE:

We are looking for a software engineer 1 to help develop and test software applications that serve the flight test community.  An ideal candidate can work in a small dynamic team-based environment capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks, comfortable with changing requirements and is willing to learn and contribute to the engineering process.  The candidate must be able to wear manage multiple responsibilities and be willing to engage in tasks beyond software development such as documentation, system management, support, training, etc

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop and support software applications
  • Develop backend, front-end, and microservice applications
  • Write Documentation
  • Work with senior engineers to contribute to architecture and design
  • Take part in code and design reviews
  • Take an active part in the Scrum Agile process, including planning, standup and retrospectives
  • Actively participate in group discussions, brainstorming sessions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Proactively share ideas, seek feedback, and engage in open dialogues to solve challenges creatively
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • At least 2 years’ software engineering experience
  • Experience developing distributed microservice applications
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • BS in computer science or equivalent
  • Requires U.S. Citizenship

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • C++ experience
  • Knowledge of Flight Test and IRIG standards
  • Experience working in an ITAR environment
