POSITION PROFILE:
We are seeking a Senior Government Cost and Price Analyst responsible for developing, analyzing, and reviewing complex cost and price proposals in support of U.S. Government contracts. This role ensures compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (formerly TINA), Undefinitized Contract Actions (UCAs), and internal company policies. The analyst provides strategic pricing guidance, conducts cost realism and cost-volume assessments, and supports negotiations with government agencies and prime contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead development, review, and submission of cost and price proposals for federal and DoD customers.
- Analyze labor, indirect rates, materials, and subcontractor pricing to ensure allowability, allocability, and reasonableness under FAR Part 31.
- Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, TINA requirements, and UCA-related guidance throughout the proposal and negotiation lifecycle.
- Support preparation and pricing of Undefinitized Contract Actions, including development of Not‑to‑Exceed (NTE) pricing and timely definitization packages.
- Prepare Basis of Estimate documentation and ensure defensible pricing rationale.
- Conduct cost realism, price realism, and competitive price analyses.
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals and ensure compliance with flow‑down regulations and TINA certification requirements.
- Support fact‑finding, audits, and negotiations with DCAA, DCMA, and contracting officers.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, historical cost databases, and internal pricing tools.
- Provide guidance to program managers, capture teams, and executives on cost strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in federal acquisition policy and analyze impacts to pricing and proposal development.
- Review and process expense reports including policy compliance and allowable versus unallowable categorizations.
- Manage the Monthly Business Review slide deck preparation including initial review of figures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Other finance and accounting team responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government cost/price analysis or federal contracting
- Strong understanding of FAR Part 15, FAR Part 31, DFARS, CAS, TINA, and UCA requirements
- Experience working with DCAA/DCMA audits and negotiations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pricing/financial analysis tools
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Self-starter, able to find, learn, and absorb information quickly
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:
- Prior experience pricing or supporting Undefinitized Contract Actions, including development of NTE pricing and definitization proposals
- Experience working for a DoD federal contractor preferred
- Experience with cost‑plus, T&M, and FFP contract types
- Background in aerospace, defense, engineering, or government services industries
- Fluency in the French language is a plus
- Experience working in an ITAR environment is a plus
