POSITION PROFILE:

Attollo Engineering is seeking a technician to support the production and testing of cryogenic coolers. This role focuses on learning and executing standardized assembly and test processes in a production environment. This role also performs basic electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and documentation tasks under supervision while maintaining high standards for quality, cleanliness, and safety. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow documented procedures and work instructions to assemble cryogenic coolers and sub-assemblies
  • Perform basic electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including cleaning, mechanical assembly, and adhesive application
  • Participate in training for cooler assembly and test processes
  • Perform measurements and execute test procedures; accurately record and document results
  • Conduct incoming inspection of components using standard measurement tools and equipment
  • Perform data entry for travelers and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking systems
  • Perform hand soldering of cable harnesses and basic electrical connections
  • Support functional testing of sub-assemblies, including motors and other key cooler components
  • Assist in preparation of test setups and basic performance characterization of cryogenic coolers
  • Assist with failure analysis activities and prototype builds under guidance
  • Support engineering with process development and production-related tasks as directed
  • Communicate results, observations, and issues to engineering and production personnel
  • Maintain cleanroom standards, including adherence to FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and ESD protocols
  • Identify and report defects, nonconformances, and process issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, testing, or a related manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
  • Organized and methodical work style
  • Willingness to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Good fine motor skills for precision assembly work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks under supervision
  • Requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Associates or bachelor’s in engineering disciplines a plus
  • Experience with cryogenic cooler assembly or similar precision electro-mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hex keys, etc.)
  • Basic mathematical skills (unit conversions, decimals, fractions, setpoints)
  • Experience with soldering and basic electrical assembly
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work additional hours as required Experience working in an ITAR environment

 

 

SALARY RANGE: Hourly compensation is $32.69-$39.42. Plus participation in an individual performance bonus plan.
