POSITION PROFILE:

The Finance Intern will support the finance team by assisting with the mapping and documentation of financial processes, including Sales Orders, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Reconciliation. Responsibilities include organizing and reviewing financial data, preparing basic reports, and assisting with monthly and quarterly account reconciliations. The role will also help maintain accurate records of company assets, support project budget tracking, and assist with compiling documentation for audits and compliance purposes. The Finance Intern role provides an opportunity to learn and apply fundamental finance and accounting concepts in a collaborative and professional environment.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the finance function in mapping and documenting processes, including workflows for Sales Orders, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Forecasting and Reconciliation.
  • Help gather, review, and organize financial data to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the finance department’s structure, workflows, and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights into the integration of finance operations within the organization.
  • Work alongside financial professionals to support administrative tasks and deliverables for special projects.
  • Assist in audit preparations and implementation of compliance measures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold US Protected Individual Status

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Familiarity with SAP software, particularly in managing financial data, workflows, and reporting.
  • Ability to create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Microsoft Power BI to analyze financial data effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Visio to design process flows, organizational charts, and financial systems workflows.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools or platforms to enhance financial forecasting and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to organizational culture.
  • Experience working in an ITAR environment
