POSITION PROFILE:

 

We are seeking a highly driven Supply Chain Material Analyst to oversee inventory levels, align material availability with production schedules, and support the seamless execution of manufacturing and program objectives. In this role, the Supply Chain Material Analyst will analyze and determine material requirements, develop and maintain accurate inventory and replenishment plans, collaborate closely with cross functional teams, including NPI, operations, quality, and procurement, and manage relationships with key external suppliers and partners.

 

A successful Supply Chain Material Analyst will ensure a reliable supply of cost efficient, high quality materials that enable uninterrupted production, on time delivery, and overall operational excellence

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute accurate Material Management Plans for multiple programs, ensuring that material is forecasted, ordered, and available on time to meet program/operation’s needs.
  • Conduct in-depth sensitivity/risk analyses of anticipated material flows vs. requirements and program procurement metrics; assist in developing and implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures
  • Use data and KPIs to identify opportunities and drive meaningful, continuous improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance productivity while optimizing costs.
  • Proactively works collaboratively with internal program teams, quality, contracts, and other functional areas to understand unique supply chain needs to support customer, program, and commodity strategies.
  • Provide analysis of cost and schedule performance.
  • Develop, execute and maintain Supply Chain risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Liaising with operations, manufacturing, and purchasing.
  • Determine required materials for NPI and manufacturing activities and generate purchase orders as needed.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple unrelated tasks and to clearly communicate task status with others, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work with little supervision and thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment; proactive, systematic, and detail-oriented in addressing challenges; passionate for accelerating success and driving change.
  • Experience developing tools and processes to streamline efficiencies and analyzing data.
  • Experience working in the DoW
  •  Aerospace & Defense industry and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Requires U.S. Citizenship

 

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

• Demonstrated experience managing material requirements for programs involving both new product development and introduction (NPI) and production, ensuring supply readiness from prototype through production.

• Background in supply chain operations within technology‑intensive or engineering‑driven environments, with an ability to support complex, high‑reliability products.

• Strong proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial oversight of material budgets, including development of Material EACs, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Experience supporting U.S. Government (USG) and DoW acquisition programs, including familiarity with supply chain requirements, compliance frameworks, and government contracting practices.

• Working knowledge of ITAR and related import/export regulations, with the ability to manage material flows and supplier interactions in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Experience operating within a multinational, multi‑customer supply chain environment, balancing priorities across diverse stakeholders and global material sources.

 

 

TRAVEL: 10% - Occasional domestic and international travel between customer, vendor, and affiliate facilities.
