POSITION PROFILE:

The Supply Chain Intern will support the Supply Chain Department in a variety of purchasing and sourcing activities. This role will offer hands-on experience in areas such as sourcing strategy, supplier outreach, and procurement operations. This role will collaborate closely with Supply Chain team members on multiple projects and have the flexibility to tailor their experience toward areas of specific interest. This internship provides valuable exposure to a fast-paced engineering environment and an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills for a future career in supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and follow‑up with suppliers.
  • Support supplier communication and help resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze supply chain data for reporting and process improvement.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Production) to support operational needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing cost.
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in supply chain management, business, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain concepts; willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience working in an ITAR environment
