POSITION PROFILE:
The Military DOD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Service Members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service Members with industry partners in real-world job experiences under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Separating Service Members can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to focus solely on training full-time with approved industry partners after unit commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) provides written authorization and approval.
Business Development Fellowship candidate is responsible supporting the business development team in the military and government segment with a primary focus on promoting innovative solutions for military critical needs and advanced Navigation and EO/IR products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Business Development of DSI Optronics products and capabilities for Mounted Navigation and Targeting to the US market, including land, rotary / fixed wing aircraft and maritime applications.
- Identify and understand current operational missions, gaps, and roadmaps within the US DoD and defense primes relative to the market segment.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of customer program requirements, current and future opportunities, organizational structure and key decision-makers in the US DoD, defense primes and associated supply chain.
- Conduct competitive analysis.
- Prepare and conduct senior level presentations.
- Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
- Become familiar all DSI Optronics and affiliate solutions supporting the US Mounted Navigation and Targeting market.
- Prepare a Fellowship experience presentation to leadership upon completion of SkillBridge Program
- Up to 10% travel required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Active military personnel preparing to transition out of service
- Basic understanding and familiarity of the defense acquisition processes
- Understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Proven track record in developing and meeting forecasts.

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electro-optics business area
- Experience working in an ITAR environment
