POSITION PROFILE:
The Sr. Accountant will be an integral member of the accounting team and responsible for a variety of accounting functions. The qualified candidate will work under minimal supervision as part of a small team and be an individual contributor. A detail-oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be best suited for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Possess a strong understanding of financial transactions and financial statements
- Responsible for posting of weekly labor distribution entry and bi-weekly payroll expenses
- Maintain labor distribution reconciliations and provide weekly labor reporting to managers
- Administration of Unanet (timekeeping system) including timesheet adjustments and resource assignments
- Prepare reconciliations for a variety of accounts
- Create and distribute monthly reports related to Inventory, Product Line Profitability, IR&D, etc.
- Management of cross-business unit account tracking and settlement
- Monitor standard costs and correct errors or inconsistencies
- Provide meaningful and accurate forecasts to assist leadership with decision making
- Key contributor to internal and external audits
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries
- Support month-end close activities
- Assist in transfer pricing processes and calculations
- Ad hoc reporting as needed
- Special projects as requested
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Minimum of an Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting/finance or related field.
- Minimum five years’ experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- ERP experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written skills
- U.S. Citizen or Protected Individual status required
IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:
- Knowledge in Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Accounting Standards
- Prior experience working in an ITAR compliant environment or for a DoD federal contractor
- Business Intelligence experience
- SAP experience
- Knowledge of French Language a “plus”.
