POSITION PROFILE:

As a Quality Engineer, you will be an active and engaged member of our manufacturing production floor environment. You will play a vital role in daily operations,  ensuring the quality of components and products produced at our company. You’ll do so by working hands-on with electro-optical assemblers, engineers across all disciplines, production managers, and program managers. You will be well-versed in the scope of work and intimately familiar with our products, providing critical support to manufacturing teams during daily standing meetings. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Transition Engineers on work instructions to drive quality and efficiency in production processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be an integral part of the manufacturing production floor, actively engaging with key stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering and production teams
  • Participate in daily manufacturing stand-up meetings, providing quality expertise and insights
  • Support the production of established programs in daily operations throughout the program life cycle
  • Conduct final and in-process testing of electro-mechanical assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action System
  • Engage in the Nonconforming Material Process and Material Review Board (MRB) to address and resolve quality issues
  • Support Engineering Change Orders and Configuration Control Documentation processes
  • Offer high-level internal and external customer support
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Minimum 3 years in quality or manufacturing engineering
  • Proven success and understanding of Quality Assurance procedures, processes, and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Electronics, or other technical field
  • Working knowledge of ISO requirements and certification
  • Experience managing and performing qualification testing in accordance with MIL-STD-810
  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP and PLM systems
  • Fluency in the English Language
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold US Protected Individual status

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification desirable
  • Exposure to Electro-Optical equipment is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is beneficial
  • Familiarity with ITAR environment is a plus
