POSITION PROFILE:

As a Quality Engineer specializing in Electromechanical Engineering, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of components and products produced at our company. You'll be responsible for upholding compliance with contract requirements, contributing to ISO certification maintenance, and actively participating in all quality-related initiatives utilizing your hands-on electro-mechanical knowledge and experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the production of established programs in daily operations
  • Conduct final and in-process testing of electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Provide reporting of program yields and production milestones
  • Provide support in production and engineering development as per program life cycle need
  • Assist Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in developing various test plans
  • Support the development of DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans
  • Participate in Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System
  • Engage in the Nonconforming Material Process and Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Assist in ISO audits and maintain adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Support Engineering Change Proposals and Configuration Control Documentation processes
  • Offer high-level internal and external customer support
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles for quality control
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement manager to implement improvement projects

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a Quality Engineering role with proven success and understanding of Quality Assurance procedures, processes, and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Electronics, or other technical field
  • Working knowledge of ISO requirements and certification
  • Experience managing and performing qualification testing in accordance with MIL-STD-810
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, decision making, and conflict management skills
  • Comfortable in conversing at all levels within the organization
  • Entrepreneurial attitude who enjoys a diversified and fast paced environment
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Experience with Aras Innovator or similar PLM system
  • Fluency in the English Language
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold US Protected Individual status

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification desirable
  • Exposure to Electro-Optical equipment is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is beneficial
  • Experience with MTBF and MTTR generation and analysis would be valuable
  • Familiarity with ITAR environment is a plus
