POSITION PROFILE:
The Information Technology Intern will support the team to assist in supporting and maintaining the company’s technology infrastructure. This internship will provide exposure to different facets of IT, including technical support, network administration, software/hardware maintenance, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide basic technical support to end users by troubleshooting routine hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and standard company software.
- Help update and maintain IT documentation, including knowledge base articles, user guides, and inventory records.
- Support IT asset management activities, including equipment tracking, labeling, and coordinating with procurement.
- Participate in IT projects as assigned, such as software deployments, system upgrades, and workstation refreshes.
- Follow IT policies, security practices, and procedural standards while learning industry best practices.
- Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of support requests.
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Must be actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information
- technology, computer science or a related field.
- Relevant and current certifications desired (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT fundamentals.
- Familiarity with operating systems and software applications (e.g., Office365).
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, presentation and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated leadership skills while having the ability to be a team player.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident
IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:
- Some experience with web design; HTML, and/or CSS.
- Experience working in an ITAR environment
