POSITION PROFILE:

As an HR Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the HR operations of a multi-business unit organization. In this role, you will collaborate with HR professionals to support employee data management, system access, and recordkeeping. You will have the opportunity to engage in HR automation projects, contribute to organizing and coordinating activities for our robust Annual Intern Program, and assist with standardizing key HR processes, such as file management and job descriptions. Additionally, you will develop proficiency in using HR systems, participate in administering the annual employee satisfaction survey, and gain a thorough understanding of HR operations in a dynamic, multi-unit environment. This internship offers exposure to critical HR practices and provides a well-rounded foundation for a career in human resources.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Collaborate with the HR Coordinator and HR Operations & Payroll Manager to assist in the daily management of employee data, records, and system access
  • Assist in wrapping up year-end processes by organizing and archiving related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Actively contribute to various HR automation projects, supporting process improvements and efficiencies
  • Play a key role in organizing and coordinating events for the Annual Intern Program, while also participating as an engaged member of the program.
  • Support a cleanup project focused on ensuring consistency in systems by reviewing and standardizing job titles, job codes, and related data across all business units.
  • Learn to navigate HR systems to create employee profiles, draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and complete other system-related activities.
  • Support efforts to standardize job descriptions across business units, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of HR Operations by participating in day-to-day tasks and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with the HR team to administer the annual employee satisfaction survey, present, and analyze the results to identify actionable insights for improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Must be actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • A passion for people operations, culture and engagement
  • Experience in planning and organizational skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality on highly sensitive matters
  • Team player with a can do attitude
  • Ability to multitask across a broad range of responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Results driven, thorough, and timely
  • Requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

 

 

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience working in an ITAR environment

 

TRAVEL:

  • Little to no out-of-town or overnight travel; some limited local travel.
